Exposing Demonic Constructs

Construct - something constructed or built especially in the mind.
God calls us to victory, not defeat; to fly, not to crash, to win not to lose. He did not call us to be in an up and down cycle, winning and losing over and over, or crashing and flying. No, he called us to win.
The devil uses certain tools and devices to rebuild sinfulness in the lives of those who once believed. He also uses these tools to build constructs in the minds of believers or God-seekers, those seeking to serve God, to continue in repeated sin and sinful habits. These are strongholds in the mind that keep people bound in sins they desire to forsake.
Examples of Constructs of the Mind
Lustful Strongholds - Porn, Continual sexual fantasies and imagination, digital sexual activity
Bitterness - against God
Rebellion - to those in leadership or authority
Overwhelming Anxiety
Mental Oppression
Crippling Fear
Examples of Constructs in the Body
Sexual Deviancy
Substance Abuse
3 Tools of Construction
Guilt
Begins with Lies:
It is normal to feel guilty after sinning against God. God provides forgiveness through Christ. However, the devil will constantly remind the person of the sin, the multiple failures to repent, and the failed attempts to forsake the sin. The reminders are lies telling the person that they cannot overcome the sin, that the sin is who they are, and there is nothing that can be done about it. This leads to Hopelessness.
Hopelessness - the person then has no hope of growing in righteous living and sees godly living as impossible.
The Bible tells us that through the Spirit, we have the hope of righteousness. We ought to be looking forward to Christ’s coming with the hope of growing to be more and more like him.Galatians 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. However, hopelessness is a lack of faith in God’s atoning work, and his power to change one’s life.
Quitting - with a loss of hope the person quits. Once guilt, and hopelessness sets in, then the person quits pushing to rise up out of sin through the power of Christ.
Demonic Construct - Once the person gets to this place, the devil now solidifies, or completes the construct by coming in and bringing the person into a worse state. The stronghold now becomes established.
Sin
The person’s own enticement to do wrong when giving into that desire leads to sin. A person can build what they once destroyed by going back to what they left, whether it is sin, a doctrine, an idea, a belief. If they go back to it and remain in it, it rebuilds that construct into their lives.
Galatian 2:18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
A person may have received freedom from sexual uncleanness, porn, substance abuse and other ungodly activities. However, if a person gives in to the temptation to sin in these areas, the stronghold can again be constructed into their life.
James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Drawn Away - by his own desires or lusts. Drawn away from the direction or path of God’s will. Every man is tempted through the flesh, through others, and through temptations from the devil. The enemy tempts so as to lead the person back to a place where he can construct strongholds.
It starts with the Enticement, the temptation to sin.
Then sin occurs.
Then the person continues in the sin - Continuation in Sin
Then the Demonic Construct becomes set in place.
Therefore, every person must practice resisting temptation by being watchful and prayerful. Believers must never assume that they cannot be tempted to go back into sinful bondage. Rather, remain watchful and alert. Pray constantly to overcome temptation. Resist every form of temptation that may arise in every form; resist the temptation by rebuking the devil with your words, and speaking the word of God like a weapon.
It may be necessary to avoid situations that open the door to temptation. And if all else fails, call on someone to help you in prayer when you are tempted.
Familiar demonic spirit
A demonic spirit that is familiar to a person because of long previous attachment and involvement in that person’s life.
Returns: These familiar spirits seek to return. If the space is available, the door is open, the spirit may return.
Space Available - The person can open the door for that familiar spirit to return if they allow guilt, and former sin to set into their lives. Whenever a person fails to apply the truth of the gospel, or the truth of the Word of God, then the door becomes open for the familiar spirit to return. missing being filled with the things of God
Demonic Construct - the familiar spirit brings along related demonic spirits stronger than himself. The aim is to build a stronghold in the person’s life. The last state of the person becomes worse than before.
Luke 11:24-26 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 25And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
