3 Mistakes Popular Christian Artists/Leaders Make in Dealing with the World
Partnering with the World
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Ephesians 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
New International Version
- Therefore do not be partners with them.
New Living Translation
- Don't participate in the things these people do.
Some gospel artists and Christian leaders are Partnering with Unbelievers under the Guise of “we are going among them to win them to the Lord” or “ We are showing them love”.
Surely, we must be among sinners to share the gospel with them. We must interact with unbelievers just to do things in the world. We also must show them love.
However, We are Commanded Not to be Unequally Yoked. WE ought not to PARTNER with people of the world in what they do. Christian artists and leaders are going on their platforms in PARTNERSHIP, participating in what they do. There is no Light, no correction, no teaching, no showing the way. Their presence on their platform is partaking the things they do.
Not Rebuking Darkness
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
We ought to be Rebuking the Darkness, not fellowshipping with them. Their deeds done in secret are ungodly. Its ok to be among people of the world once we have the spine to expose their evil deeds, and introduce to Jesus.
Lukewarmness
Revelation 3:15-16 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Believers try to be NEUTRAL, and in the middle concerning the truth, not taking a particular stand. Lauren Daigle didn’t take a stand, she chose an answer that’s in the middle.
Where is Passion? Where is the Zeal? Where is the Pursuit of Truth
